Continuous Improvement is mandatory in increasingly competitive times.
Many continuous improvement systems are too complex for their own good.
CIS - CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT is a hands-on, straightforward system that enables managers and their supervisors to:
- Identify what, exactly needs to be improved, and in which of three crucial improvement domains(volumes, quality or cost).
- Set realistic targets for improvement.
- Understand the trade-off implications of improvement decisions.
- Identify how the improvement can be achieved.
- Plan the right resources and processes for the improvement.
- Iplement the plan and measure the results.
- Reflect on the results and learn from them.
The understanding, ability and desire to manage their own continuous improvement system.
To Management: Having a workable continuous improvement process that can be driven by operational teams
in any function vastly enhances the task of management.
To the Business: Increased profitability, through:
- Continuous improvement in either productivity, quality or cost dimensions.
- Enhanced ownership of performance improvement.
- Targeted performance reporting at regular intervals.
Methodology:
- Three hour team-based continuous improvement simulations.
- One hour determination of actual measurables to be used back at the workplace.
- Ongoing implementation of the CIS system.
Participants: Managers and supervisors.
Programme Duration: 4 hours, followed by implementation
of the CIS system in the workplace.
Delivery Options: Externally facilitated
or train-the-trainer.
"A superb, simple, focused CI system that can be managed at supervisory level..."
"Brilliant simulation provides a clear indication of the need for continuous improvement and the CI system enables lower level staff to take ownership."
